Well for starters, it felt more as if it were forced upon them rather than a choice of their own volition but it was an opportunity. Regardless, they had to remain positive if they planned on guiding him in the right direction. At least investigative work was something they not only felt confident in but that they were passionate about. That had to be a decent recipe for teaching, right? A better one than tutoring Kanji in mathematics, that's for sure.
